1. juunil avati Kastellaanimaja galeriis maalikunstnike Merike Tamm ja Anna Kõuhkna ning stsenograaf Jaanika Jüris näitus „Õilmeislõiming“.
Kolme kunstnikku seob ühine võsajanu, mis paneb neid läbi loomingu lisama kergust grotesksesse tehiskeskkonda oma dekoratiivse rohelusega. Tööde intuitiivne esteetika tuleneb teadlikust valikust peegeldada maailma helgemaid külgi. Loodu tagamaad võib vaadelda nii eskapismi, unistamise, kui ka teraapiana, kuid eelkõige on olnud soov valida elujaatust kõiki alternatiive arvesse võttes.
Looduse impulsid on justkui iseenesest end teostesse põimunud olles oma olemuselt kolme kunstniku igapäevaelu osa või vähemalt soov selle järgi. Kunstnikke seob kahe maailma vahel kõikumine ehk kui hing ihkab põgeneda maale, aga tegelikkus viib enamasti trammiga Telliskivisse.

On the 1st of June Castellan House Gallery opened a group exhibition “Floral Intertwining” by painters Merike Tamm, Anna Kõuhkna and scenographer Jaanika Jüris.The three artists share a common thirst for nature, which makes them add lightness through their creations to the grotesque technical environment that otherwise surrounds them on a daily basis. The intuitive aesthetics of the works is sourced from a conscious choice to reflect the brighter sides of the world. The backstory of the creations can be viewed as a form of escapism, dreaming or therapy, but foremost it has been a wish to choose hope considering all alternatives.
The impulses of nature are as if by itself being involved themselves into the works, being by their essence a part of the three artists' everyday life or at least their wish for it. The artists are connected through swinging between two worlds, meaning when the soul wants to go to the countryside, but reality brings them mostly to Telliskivi.
